About: 

The Introduction to Medical Terminology course focuses on essential medical terminology, foundational human anatomy and physiology concepts, and common medical terms related to body systems.

Designed for students in Massage Therapy and Recreation Therapy Aide programs, this course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of medical terminologies and its practical applications in their respective fields. 

Through this course, students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively communicate and collaborate with healthcare professionals, enhance their understanding of medical documentation, and improve overall patient care. 

Topics covered include anatomy and physiology fundamentals, common medical conditions and diseases, diagnostic procedures, and treatment modalities. By learning the roots, prefixes, and suffixes that form medical terms, students will be equipped to decipher and interpret complex medical terminology encountered in their professional environments.
