Our Values

Aquinas College, with its tagline “Transforming Lives Through Education” is committed to offering transformative educational programs designed to change students’ lives.

The college focuses on providing a comprehensive learning experience that not only imparts knowledge but also fosters personal and professional growth. Through a diverse range of career programs, students are equipped with the skills, insights, and perspectives needed to excel in their chosen fields and make significant contributions to society.

At Aquinas College, education is seen as a powerful tool for change, empowering students to achieve their full potential and make a lasting impact in the world.

Below are our core values:

Perseverance

At Aquinas, consistency is our strong suit. Our devotion to our academic goals is non-negotiable in any situation. We relentlessly committed to promoting healthy learning in our community. We’ll always strive to provide easier access to transformative academic programs. We always work towards short-term academic goals, but we’re also geared for the long haul, focused on helping students build a solid academic foundation and sound character for a blissful career.

Excellence

It is our commitment as a College to always strive to perfection. As an educational institution we constantly seek out ways for improvements. We aim to deliver a high standard of education and student services that will shape our graduates to be the agent of excellence in the career they will belong to.

Achievement

Aquinas is a training ground for achievers. We’re looking to groom pacesetters and trendsetters, and people who’ll leave an indelible mark on their fields of practice. We’ll equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to make a difference in their world. We’ll teach our students to become self-reliant self-starters who take control of their career through self-direction.

Faith

At Aquinas, we believe that there is potential for greatness in everyone. We believe in our students, our systems, and our community. As agents of faith, we always remind students that they can be anything they want to be regardless of the difficulties they might face. Faith gives us the boldness and resolve to take on daunting tasks, inspiring a restful assurance that helps us cope with anxiety and overwhelm.

Hope

As one of the major pillars of strength, hope gives us something to wake up to every morning. It keeps us going during the dark times, and inspires us during dull moments. As a college, we always strive to give our community something to look forward to, inspiring hope for a brighter future. At Aquinas, hope is one of our main tools for encouraging students. Knowing there’s always a reason to be hopeful, we pat students who’re slacking on the back and encourage them to put in the necessary hours to complete their course.

Enlightenment

To us, education isn’t just about survival and employability, it’s a path to enlightenment. We frame our content with the bigger picture in sight, delivering a totally transformative learning experience. Enlightenment is about freedom and agency – along with the responsibilities that come with them. Students will have the general intelligence, divergent thinking skills, and personality to take control of their fate. Ultimately, we hope to promote enlightenment in our community, producing highly enlightened individuals who’ll raise our community to greater heights.

Wisdom

Our courses are a melting pot of knowledge, experience, and practical philosophy. We impart knowledge through experience and expertise, providing a balanced, wholesome learning experience. In real life, our graduates apply not only what they were taught, but what they’ve learned on their own. Rather than think mechanically, our graduates will toe the line of professional, moral, and ethical considerations when faced with choices in their line of duty.

Altruism

Altruism is a cherished value at Aquinas College, deeply rooted in its mission and philosophy. This institution places a strong emphasis on selflessness, compassion, and service to others. Students are encouraged to engage in volunteerism, advocate for social justice, and develop into compassionate individuals who make a positive impact on their communities and the world. Altruism at Aquinas College is not just a concept; it’s a way of life that prepares students for a meaningful and purpose-driven future.

Stability

Another core pillar of strength is consistency. If Aquinas is remembered for anything, it should be that we stood by our words. We’re here to raise the academic and employability prospects of people across Canada and the world at large. We’ll never relent in our pursuit of that goal. We’ve put everything in place to ensure that all our students enjoy a smooth-sailing learning experience.

College Policies

Graduation Rate

We’re aiming not only for high rates of graduation, but high rates of timely graduation. Flexible class schedules, compact curricula, and tailored delivery methods give all our students very high odds of graduating on time. We expect to perform well beyond the national average in the percentage of students who graduate within the original duration of their program.

Graduate Employment Rate

Graduation is a major career milestone for our students, but it’s only the beginning of a potentially prosperous career. If anything, the national employment rate of college graduates reflects a promising future. 87% of college graduates find a decent job within 6 months to 1 year of graduation.

Graduate Employment Rate in the Field of Studies

All the career programs we offer have high employment rates. Most job opportunities for graduates will come from their field of study. Plus, our programs give students flexible career options, allowing them to work either as full-time staff, part-time employees, contractors, owners of private practices, or even instructors.

Graduate Satisfaction Rate

We follow up on our graduates to assess their level of satisfaction with their program and areas that they feel require improvement. We expect all our students to be very satisfied with the program, with the immense possibilities associated with their certification. Those who aren’t can at least provide clues to improve our study environment and learning outcomes.

Employer Satisfaction Rate

For a wider perspective, we also gauge how well our graduates serve their employers. Employers can take the survey online, on phone, or in person, giving their view on how well diploma holders are prepared for their jobs.

Scholarship for Youth and Adult Learners

We can also help students access scholarships and financial aid based on their financial needs and academic achievements. We’ve gathered a wide range of options to increase your chances of finding a program you qualify for.
