All vocational programs at Aquinas College have general admission requirements that applicants must meet to qualify for admission. However, some programs, such as the Massage Therapy Diploma and the Recreational Therapy Aid program, have additional selection criteria to assess program suitability, including a mandatory police clearance, to ensure the suitability of applicants for these sensitive roles.
Please refer to the information below for a quick overview of the academic requirements and selection criteria applicable to all programs.
Our standard admission process ensures that we maintain a diverse and talented student body. To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Please note that meeting the standard admission requirements does not guarantee admission to all programs. Some programs may have additional criteria, such as specific prerequisites or portfolio submissions.
Please note that meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee acceptance into all programs. Some programs may have additional criteria or prerequisites.
At Aquinas College, we value individuality and recognize that each applicant brings unique experiences and talents. Our standard admission requirements ensure that we assess candidates fairly and give them an opportunity to demonstrate their potential for success.
At Aquinas College, we prioritise the safety and well-being of our student and staff community.
To maintain a secure environment, it is essential that all applicants for certain programs involving vulnerable adults, children, and healthcare-related fields disclose all criminal convictions, including cautions, reprimands, final warnings, bind over orders, and spent convictions.
As part of the application process, police clearance and/or vulnerable checks will be required to ensure the suitability of applicants for some of our programs. We are committed to upholding these measures to safeguard our community and promote a secure learning and working environment.
We maintain a strict policy against fraudulent activities in the admission process. Consequences for providing fraudulent documents may include rejection or cancellation of the application.
We conduct thorough investigations and reserve the right to request additional documentation for verification. Upholding this policy ensures integrity and fairness for all applicants.
