In accordance with the college’s student loan policy, students are permitted a maximum of four unexcused absences for each course of the program. Should a student accrue a fifth unexcused absence within the course, the college reserves the right to automatically withdraw the student from enrollment.
As per the student loan policy, the student is allowed to apply for a maximum of 30 days’ leave of absence. For more than 30 days, students should withdraw from the program.
Students are required to attend classes punctually. However, teachers may exercise discretion in collaborating with students to determine an acceptable time for those who are unable to adhere to the program calendar.
The students who incurred more than 3 days of unexcused absences will be receiving an email with an attendance warning. Students are expected to respond to the email or after the 3rd warning, the college reserves the right to withdraw the students without prior notice.
For some important circumstances, the students can ask permission from the teachers to be excused from the class by filling this student leave form with the condition that the students will still fulfill the course requirements posted for the days that the students were absent.
The teacher can evaluate if the reason for the excuse is reasonable or not. (Acceptable reasons could be: family emergency, change of work schedule, being sick, death of a family member, and others).
